Pastor and chaplain at the Nice and Monaco prisons
We believe in one God, existing from all eternity in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
1 Corinthians 8 v 6, Colossians 1 v 16, Hebrews 1 v 2.
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God. It is the sovereign authority on faith and life. Neither customs, visions, nor any other revelation nor tradition can alter or supplement the Scriptures, which contain all that is necessary for salvation.
2 Timothy 3 v 15-17, 2 Peter 1 v 20.
We believe that man and woman were created by God in His image and likeness. The human being, created pure and innocent, fell into sin by wilful transgression, and the whole of humanity fell away from God and remained under the dominion of sin and in condemnation.
We believe that human beings are loved by God, that they are called to change their lives and to be converted in order to re-establish a true and just relationship with God and their neighbour.
Genesis 1 v 26, Romans 5 v 12.
We believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord, God manifest in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary.
We believe in his sinless humanity, his miracles, his atoning death through which we have forgiveness, reconciliation from God, and eternal life.
We believe in his resurrection from the dead, his ascension, his supreme authority, his mediation with the Father on behalf of men, and his return in power and glory.
Galates 4 v 4, Philippiens 2 v 6-11, 2 Corinthiens 5 v 19.
We believe that every human being can be forgiven of their sins and become righteous before God by grace through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that baptism by immersion is the testimony of faith, of free commitment to Jesus Christ and his Word. It is the image of the passage from spiritual death to new life with God.
Acts 26 v 18, Ephesians 2 v 8, 1 Peter 1 v 15-23.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who dwells in the believer to reveal Jesus, to teach him and to lead him into the truth.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise for all believers with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as on the day of Pentecost.
We believe in the spiritual gifts given to the church to edify, exhort and comfort.
Galates 5 v 22, Actes 2 v 4-8, 1 Corinthiens 14.
We believe in the true unity in the Holy Spirit of all believers who together form the universal church; the body of Christ, the pillar and support of truth whose expression is the local church. We believe in the healing of the sick through faith in Jesus Christ by virtue of His redemptive work.
Acts 2 v 41-42, Ephesians 4 v 11-15, Mark 16 v 15-18.
We believe in the resurrection of all: those who are lost will rise to eternal damnation; those who are saved will rise to eternal life.
Luke 23 v 43, 2 Corinthians 5 v 1-10, Revelation 20 v 11-15
